Customer Configurator

The Customer Configurator provides a "front-end" to the order entry process. This function allows specific product configurations and pricing to be organized into groups available for all customers or restricted to specific customers.

BENEFITS

Tailor the ordering process to each customer’s needs
Reduce order-entry errors, especially for repeat ordering
Handle special promotions, pricing and product programs
Provide effective and expiry dates
Does not require the creation of additional part numbers in the manufacturing system
Allows selection of any "recent" configurations previously ordered by the customer
Nested menu window structure for ease of use

FEATURES

New "Sales Code" numbers can be assigned to specific configurations of existing products. These Sales-codes may be customer item numbers, promotional codes or catalog numbers.

These Sales-codes may be grouped into "programs" or "catalogs" which can be made available for use by any customer or customers. Any catalog can be printed listing the sales-code, product configuration and price.

The desired configuration may be selected by Sales-code or by navigating the menus. The system then automatically creates the order-entry line (or lines).

User defined structure allows products to be organized into groups and sub-groups as desired: For example, by product line, product series within product-line, style within product series, type within style, etc.

When a sales-code is set up, the choices for each feature or option may be restricted to a specific entry, a range of entries, or any available entry (no additional restriction).

A specific base price may be specified for each Sales-code. The variable features or options may have add-on pricing.

The products end up in order-entry as a regular configured entry. The description and sales code is carried along with the order-line for printing on customer documents.
